Founded in 2002, D. Hicks Consulting, Inc. provides electrical engineering services by utilizing its technical and personnel resources to deliver innovative designs through all phases of project development.

In the professional engineering industry, there is no substitute for experience. Our company is involved with the design and development of construction documents and construction management. Our staff works with, understands, and compliments the diversity of trades within the construction industry. We have experience with projects designed to National Electrical Code (NEC) and related NFPA requirements for projects located in the United States. For projects located outside the United States we design to IEC standards or country specific codes and standards as appropriate to the location of the project.

In order to provide clients with current and up-to-date technological advances, our firm utilizes and benefits from Continuing Education courses, seminars, and a variety of technical periodicals.

D. Hicks Consulting, Inc. provides project drawings in digital format. Digital drawings are prepared with AutoCad computer aided design/drafting (CAD) software, AutoCad MEP, Autodesk Revit MEP.

Electrical models of power distribution systems are analyzed with in-house spreadsheets for small projects, and with ETAP for larger projects.

Specifications are prepared using Word.

We also use Adobe Acrobat Professional to publish documents into portable document file (pdf) format for distribution to owners and other parties who may not have the native file programs we utilize.
